Fundamentals of RF Radiation

Course Number

This course is geared towards individuals working in close proximity to RF sources and exposed to radiation in their work.  The goal of this course is to take a topic that is difficult to understand and simplify it.  The student should walk away with the ability to recognize and respond to RF related hazards.  This recently updated course includes the most current information relevant to both US and Canadian standards and regulations.

Topics covered include: Current Legislation, Definitions, Explanation of Radiation, Ionizing and Non-ionizing Radiation, Effects of RF Exposure, Antenna Identification and frequencies, Signage, PPE, and Health Concerns.

This course complies with ANSI and CSA standards, and follows both FCC and Safety Code 6 guidelines.
